Just d/l the last update by Flakmonkey and I'm getting some weird things in the torpedo tubes Apparently, they are flat black and the animation of the external door, while working, does not show correctly the doors. Any ideas what is missing?

P.D. Not a big deal, as you must cheat and use external camera, but the revised model is so gorgeous that it would a shame not to

Oh, and yes the quicker dive times really are noticeable! A very good mod to increase survavibility of the IX in late war campaigns

I noticed the same blackness in different areas.
Maybe those parts are not mapped properly?


But seeing as we're all just getting going on this Mod
There's bound to be a few fixes to take care of.

I'm still waiting for Kurfürst to see this release.
He's had a pre-release for awhile but the model was missing some faces and had holes in the Hull.


And the sim I up loaded with this mod is not correct.
the Ballast setting is way to high as I was doing some testing and forgot to reset it.


But that's what the first release is for!
To find the 'OOPS! OH S***!' stuff.

Hello Privateer,

first, let me thank You for your great Schnellltauchback Mod!

It´s really excellent, and I feel deeply honoured with calling it Kurfürsts Schnelltauchback !
It looks great and was worth all the waiting.

I noticed the same problems as mentioned above with the pre-release version.
The bow tube doors seem to be missing, the same is with the stern tube doors. There is also a kind of "hole" in the hull, just in front of the stern tubes.
I couldn´t spot any black areas on the hull.

I´m sure these are only little things!

Hmm, the black areas sound like they were probably introduced by me, that old ID issue when playing around with the meshes.
It shouldnt have affected the torpedo doors though as i didnt attempt to lightmap them. Nevertheless, i`ll take a look and see what i screwed up.

+A6Intruder- Nope its just turm 1 at the moment.

Hello privateer !

I´m very glad to see that you have release a version of the "Schnelltauchback"-MOD ! Wonderful !

But I´ve one question: Which sub is replaced by this MOD, a Type IXC or IXC/40 ? Or with other words: Which sub must I choose that I can play with this MOD (IXC or IXC/40) ?

it´s the 9c as SilentHunter III doesn´t have an "extra" IX C/40.

I'll be releaseing the next version this weekend.

It includes Graphical fixes along with 3D model upgrades.
Based on a much better Blue print I found.

The sim, zon, and val files will be adjusted and the Caustics stuff finished.
Along with moveing the damned bubbles near the modded area.

Now I need to talk to Anvart and Tomi for something special that I hope they will help me with.
