Default il2 dcg unlimited ammo

Hey guys,
I am playing the IL2 1946 DCG. I was wondering if the AI automatically get unlimited ammo. Playing the finish dcg right now. The commies are firing away like there is no tomorrow. If they get unl. ammo, maybe I should activate it for me to, for balancing and gaming fun.

thx for answers in advance.

I think they can run out, not sure tbh, but commie planes do carry a lot of ammo on them anyway and they're nimble little sods, particularly the 15 and 16...

Yeah, I'm under the impression that AI can run out of ammo as well.

I guess Oberon was right, they just carry a lot of ammo. I was just guesing since normally I would go unl. ammo for myself for my own fun. But when I did the battles would go on till there was no plane left on one side.

Now I see planes returning to base as it should, but those soviets sure can fire a lot. Well , long live Finland I guess, should straighter

thx for replies

If you are flying the Finland campaign, then I guess you are up against I-153s and
such? Those things got plenty of ammo.

I never start a fight with those things if I can avoid it.

I can't stand flying them either. They're too slow for me...but they sure as hell can get around in the dogfight.

Dont like flying them, did like flying against them in the finnish campaign, though.

Downed quite a few once I could pull them down to my level.

I might try the Finnish Campaign. I suddenly have interest in the Winter War since I heard about Simo Hayha. 705 sniper kills in 3 months plus another 200 with an SMG...

It's a nice "underdog" campaign. In many of the missions, you dont have a choice
but to RTB, as you cant catch the bombers.

As for Simo Häyhä, the 700+ are his total kills. 500+ with the rifle, and 200+ with submachine gun. He was wounded on 6th of march (1940), regained consciousness on 13th of March, the day the truce came in effect.

I think I'll start a Finnish Campaign.

Simo Hayha is a badass either way. He took that bullet to the jaw. He didn't have a scope on his Finnish Mosin Nagant and still got 500+ kills with it.

Indeed he was, a true warrior.

Footage of him from 2007:

Another one is Chris Kyle. If I had any kind of role model, it'd be him. How I wish I could've met the guy. It was a sad day when he died.

Back on topic....

About to start my finnish campaign.

Ok, RO, I like you, we've had some nice talks. So this is nothing personal:

But, please dont compare Simo Häyhä to Chris Kyle, ever again.
I got too much respect for Hunter, as a friend and as a moderator to say anything further.

EDIT: And again, I must add that this is nothing personal, RO.
