Default Looking for a Sound Mod (Submarine Propellers 2)

Hey guys,

What I like to do is file through the various sound mods available and then take my favorites from those and make my own pack to install.

I am currently looking for a mod that changes the way the sub sounds from the inside while under water using the electric engines. I believe this file is named "Submarine Propellers 2".

So that's what I'm looking for guys. Many thanks to the guys who work on these mods for us, and bring life back to old games. Having a ton of fun playing SH3 GWX3 again.

No none of those files in the Life Mod. The file name is exactly as I listed in my first post. I'm not guessing there is a mod that has touched that. Oh well, I'll keep looking. Thanks for the help!

Thomsen's Sound Pack v3.2 contains a file 'Submarine propellers 2.wav'.

http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=197251 KB's Diesel Sound Mod.

Turns out the file I was looking for was "Submarine_electric_exterior"that I needed. Which is odd because I can hear it when I'm inside the boat. Oh well, it has a very nice eletric hum to it rather than the, swish, swish, swish, swish, from what used to be there. I think it's on old sound file from Das Boot. In fact I'm sure it is, it came with GWX3. Always hated that one particular noise lol. I can hear the blade turning *outside* but I can't hear the electic motor running from the inside of this metal tube? "Hollywood" (Or rather Wolfgang Petersen). So very glad to be rid of that one file! LOL. Found a new diving sequence too, I think that one came from NewLife. The other sounds just got to the point where my brain was able to predict the next sound coming because I was so familiar with the file, and it was driving me crazy.

Yes that it's. No it isn't lol. *Maybe* that is what the boat sounds like from outside the hull, but that isn't the noise going on inside of that little metal tube. And I doubt that is what she sounded like from the outside or in hydrophones. Bound to hear a small electric hum.

Don't get me wrong gentlemen, I love Das Boot as much as the next red blooded American Male, but I don't worship at the alter of sound design from more than 30 years ago. I mean, come on now fella's, we've had 30 years of making sound, sound better in the mean time. And you guys are stuck in 1981! Well, to be fair, I'm stuck in 1984, the year "The Terminator" came out.
