Well at least these DRM/sync save file things are consistent so now i can avoid having non functional tonnage meters. Everything works as it should now, raced towards that dissapearing convoy and sank some of the ships in it before it reached its despawn point, everything counted as it should.

Default Too early

I think it might be because you are too early for the kills to count yet. There is a start date and if you are too early, they won't register. The mssions don't end until MArch 1st. If it's July the previous year, you're too early.

Is it just the British Coastal Waters mission that is so utterly bugged? I suspect the Western Approaches are the same.

Can we still proceed along the campaign even if the objectives are not met?

I really do not want to start all over on a whim that deleting all my profiles and saves "may" fix this.

This is utterly unacceptable even now that they never manage to fix this.

P.S does the Open Horizon Campaign mod or any other campaign engine mod address this or get rid of this altogether?

Hi Akula

Sounds like you are not using TDW's Generic File Patcher.

I have not come across what you seem to be experiencing in either BCW or NWA.

OHII is not likely to make any difference.

Are you playing the stock game?

If you are then your game will be bugged and glitched whatever patrol/mission you are in.

Are you using Steam?

Thanks Peter

I actually do have the generic TDW patcher enabled if I am not mistaken. I am running with some mods but no uber mods like Steel Wolves etc.

I am running the disk installed version, not Steam.

I am not familiar with that NWA or BCW is.

Many thanks,
G

Hi Akula

NWA = North Western Approaches

BCW = British Coastal Waters

You have a big advantage as you are not using Steam.

Sounds like you are missing some important mods that fix things.

The GFP is a big help but it also needs mods as well.

OHII is a must.

i would suggest you check out my tutorial post #35 plus the download links.

If you are able to use TWOS I highly recommend it.

If you need any help just let me know.

Like many other before me I am stuck on this british supply mission. I really hate UBISOFT because gave us this bugged game and I consider this attitude a lack of respect for people who worked hard to have money to buy a game. However i am ready to forget all this if anyone give me a miraculous solution to fill that damn bar. No ship sunk seems to count. I really hate this...I really do...

Hi U
Like many players before you have experienced the broken stock game tonnage bar and campaign icons problem.
If the tonnage bar has not worked previously it is either broken or you are not sinking the right ships.
Only certain types of ships count towards filling the tonnage bar total.
In the same way where tonnage does not count and the objective is to sink either a number of ships or types of ships this then fills the tonnage bar or should do.
I take it you are not using any mods?
How is your game installed > dvd > download > steam?

Hi UllyB,

if you tell me you are a nostalgic player who wants to play 'original', then I can send you my notes about how to install and play the stock game (v.1.2.0), but you will make really big eyes because of the dance you must do to get it right, just to discover that it's NOT worth at all...My advice: update the game to v.1.2.0 and install the megamod TWoS, it makes all the difference.

The difference will essentially be that all campaign objectives are DATE controlled instead of this stupid 'progress bar', and that's how it should have been since day one of this game. There are tons of other more serious flaws which should swing you to play SH5 *heavy modded* or TWoS, so it's not just my opinion mind you...
