i need this file as i do not have it. i went into the download section but it would seem stupid gamefront doesnt have it anymore. thanks

Yes looking for some mods is hard due to web sites no longer functioning and maintained Unkle Neal called out to community to save all mods here at Subsim
Because of filefront shutting down, and also mods getting lost over time.........

I try to help finding things when I can.

Opon reading the beginning of MaxOptics IV, I believe it is just magnification by Capt Scurvy although he may have adjusted some things in files. Capt Scurvy would be the one to best ask these questions; he is been around these waters a lot adjusting the optics and the ship's behavior.
