TMO is a difficulty mod, not for non-expert players. Enemy sensors and intelligence are much sharper than the stock game. I wouldn't recommend it for a newer player.

You might want to edit the email you put in your post there henrry21, and make it something like "syafiqhariri95 at gmail dot com" so that one of the many bots that visit many a site don't get your email and starting loading your email account with spam. Astute humans know how to translate...

TMO isn´t recommended for newbies in SH4.

But if you want to try it, install TMO 25 plus the patch with JSGME (see the help sections here in subsim), and have present: AI (artificial intelligence) ships are high level "trained", then, they search to destroy you at all cost and are very hard and persistent. In fact, I play SH4 since many years and don´t like very much the hard style of Trigger Maru.

You can start with the Game Fixes Only mod or Real Fleet Boat mod, nice for introducing you in the game.

Welcome and best regards!

I discovered and played tmo after 15 years of stock sh. I liked it early, i found it harder but i could survive more or less.
Now, that i m older (more wise) i use it with easier ai patch, because yes the realism, is unrealistic that escorts are "hidtorical" (setting depth charges to 150 ft until late 43. Unrealistic bevause you yet know it.) like somewhere, but also too harder i dont like, like in past. I guess its better an half way. Mods like rfb, or tmo with easier ai, or gfo, are less harder but wait, thats not mean easy way. Simply are random. You can met an easy escort crew, that after few drops go away, or a damned one that force you to dive at 450 ft in 1941. It depens. I suggest rfb plus spyron mod (spe ops for support guerrilla in south west asia). For start..a more stock mod list than tmo for a beginner.
Beginners, not expert in evasive tactics, etx and in other features of the pacific war, can find it too harder . Sometime seems than their sonar is a laser focused on you, that find you also to 500 feets. Not suggested for a beginner. But if you wanna try. Install it.
