Default [REL] ASDIC/Sonar alternate sound

ASDIC_alternate_sound_1.0

Greetings all,
this is a more "dirty" ASDIC sound from a movie we all know .
I used that for sh3 and it fits perfectly for sh5 as well. The stock sh5 ASDIC is to "clinical" and clean for me, if you know what I mean.
Personally this alternate sound brings a chill to my spine once I hear it.

Hope you enjoy it too.

cheers
Mark75

Installation with JSGME
#######################
1. Just drop the folder namend "ASDIC_alternate_sound" in your MODS folder.
2. Activate the mod with JSGME, done.

Installation without JSGME
##########################
1. Browse to your sh5 directory as example for me it's
Z:\Programme\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter 5\
2. take the 3 files named
"Sonar"
"Sonar_Coat"
"Sonar_Coat_imp"
and copy them into the data\Sound folder of your sh5 main folder.
3. Make backups from the original files in case you want to switch back.

When I listen to it without playing the game I think too I've could have done it better, but ingame it's a different story it works/sound great in my humble opinion.

Just give it a try ingame if you still don't like it... trashcan

Hi osaka,

unfortunately I am not aware of any alternative link to this mod, nonetheless you might probably be interested in this other little mod which contains four alternative ASDIC sounds:
