Default Can't centre protractor/ruler marks

It's been awhile since I played this but I don't remember this problem before.

I'm using TWOs with realnav.

When I left click on the centre of the protractor the initial red mark is to the right and at the outside ring of the tool (around 4 O' Clock) rather than the centre. It's been about a year since I played and I seem to remember the protractor being larger on my screen.

I recently re-installed the game. Previously I was using the aspect ratio fix for my 2560 X 1440 monitor. I upgraded to Win 10 and had problems with windowed game upon launch, then CTD. I changed DPI settings in SH5:EXE. All's well in the game apart from the above problem. I've experimented with using the 21 X 9 ratio fix, and not using it in the JSGME but no joy.

I found a post by someone with similar problems which he solved by removing The Wolves of Steel 1.05 - Resolution patch. Where do I find this? Is it the same as the ratio fix?

I may be being a dummy here.

Edit: Solved by using gap's Alternative map tools mod found in graphics mods.

I have seen several posts by people with the same problem and haven't found out why this happened. However the mod was a solution.
