Default SH5 and Steam question

I read that SH5 should be installed as C:\SH5 stand alone folder, but mine goes
C:\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter 5? The Grey Wolves mod wants to install to the C:\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter 5 route? I tried that and got just the basic game when I started it. There are so many links in the forum that I don't know which one to use. Can someone direct me to the link that deals with installing through the steam version.

Thanks.

Mine loaded like yours. I think that's safe. So far so good!

Did you get it to work, or are in the processes of just installing it?

How can that be "safe" ? How can a game with total conversion mod look exactly the same like "stock" game?

You should really learn where is the location of your base SH5 game before modding and in case of Steam, it's usually something like C/Program filesx86/Steam/Steamapps ect...

OK my sh5 loaded into the same folder configuration as lepski. I read his post as it should be loaded as c:/she and he couldn't get it to do that. Same situation for me. I loaded mod twos not gw. Same target location for his mod as mine so I thought it'd be safe for him since it worked out for me.
