PHILADELPHIA (CBS) –

A dog is recovering in Delaware after it was reportedly injected with cocaine by kids in Philadelphia.
Faithful Friends Animal Society says one-year-old Peanut was picked up from ACCT Philadelphia on March 8 after she was found “hardly moving on the sidewalks in Philly.”


The Delaware-based organization says Peanut was reportedly outside of a known house engaging in drug activity. Residents told authorities that neighborhood kids had given the animal drugs.


After several tests, Faithful Friends said Peanut tested positive for cocaine and THC.


“Sweet Peanut had a long night under critical care and she fought for her life. She made it through the night and showed signs of significant improvements the following morning. Her tremors have not gone away completely, but she’s now able to stand, walk, eat, and drink. Her care was transferred back to Faithful Friends, where she received constant care, continued to get fluids, and was monitored very closely,” the organization writes on Facebook.


Peanut was renamed Suzi to mark the start of her new life.

Where were neighborhood kids doing with Cocaine??
Why would anyone think it is funny to give a dog Cocaine??

Humans are cruel period. Not all of them but more than enough and those will live their sadistic dreams if they know they'll get away with it.

This is really sad that kids would do this to an animal-dog. I know there are a great number of animal lovers here in Subsim and in society, myself included who are / will be upset. Kids who have no regard for life at their age will probably be worse as adults.

Hopefully Peanut / suzi will be adopted out, if she doesn't already have a place to a loving home.

Absolutely vile. I don't generally advocate violence, but when it comes to people who harm innocent, helpless beings like animals or children ... I couldn't care less if they were removed from this planet.
