After a long long long loooong pause, the legendary Aurora server is back up and running!

If you're after a good online server for FL, dont look no further. Aurora uses the TNG mod with newly upgraded Aurora mod, adding even more ships to the already big list of flyable ships.

Well thats changed We have the aurora addon running on the server this is a new version of the addon that adds new ships so far it adds 10 but in the next version were planning to add 30 new ships! Including new weps and a few new systems 1 or 2 maybe

No idea what the new ships are, but from the screenshots I saw atleast the star wars baddie destroyer thingy and Enterprise.

Ah, some fond memories of Freelancer MP. Might scope it out again. A lot of egos there though, I remember quitting once because just about everyone I played with was a dbag except people who were in my clan. Even some of my clanmates were *******s to everyone.

I do miss utterly vanquishing Eagles in my Titan and watching people cry about it though.

Pfft, forget the Titan, the Dromedary is the best you can find!

Dromedary? I don't think I ever came across one of those. If I did, I don't remember it. Is it a mod ship?

TNG+Aurora adds tons of new ships, so you can pretty much forget the stock ships if you want to have any chances of survival.

Tho, it's more based on what weapons you have, but it doesnt hurt to have a agile fighter like the Havoc.

(that is, until you come against a Vorlon planet destroyer, a fatty too big to even fit the tradelanes

)

Can't say I like this wholesale adding of ships to the game, kinda destroys the immersion IMO. When I played the first time it was usually on servers with more...err...simple mods.

But the catch is, all the new ships come with new races and new races come with new planets and new planets come with new systems. And most of the new races are very time consuming to befriend with and you naturally have to choose a side in most cases. For example, if you befriend with the goodies from Star Wars, the baddies will dislike you and you cant buy their ships or anything else from their planets.
