Known issue?
I am almost done in the Med' and now for some reason a glitch... at exactly 2000 hours on August 17, 1941 the game is crashing. I have tried several game saves and no matter what I do I get kicked out of the game at the same time regardless of where I am or what I am doing.
Is this a known issue or something all my own? Mod stack has not changed since 1939. Any ideas or advice? I would say it is due to a mod issue not necessarily this one but you have an odd combination of old mods being used. For instance this FX_Update_0_0_22_ByTheDarkWraith main mod with this patch is wrong FX_Update_0_0_22__Stock_Torpedoes (modified for torpedoes failure patches) This is because you are running a modded game so it cannot be the Stock torpedoes patch. The patch you need to install is in folder 3. SteelViking's Interior Mod V1.2 SteelViking's Interior Mod V1.2.2 Patch Dark_Interior_V1 You have already changed the interior using Steel Vikings big mod so why do you want to add another > Dark_Interior_V1 I would not use this IRAI_0_0_30_No_Aircraft_Spotting_At_Depth Peter

Also the Open Horizons mod changes a lot of things, and so it may clash with some single mods you have loaded, maybe re-read the notes of OH or its dedicated thread.

Thanks for the guidance as always. 1) So I should be using FX_Update_0_0_22_Torpedoes (modified for torpedoes failure patches) instead of FX_Update_0_0_22__Stock_Torpedoes (modified for torpedoes failure patches). Thanks for the insight. I Will definitely make the change if I can get into my base. 2) From the documentation for Dark_Interior_Mod_V1 - "It's highly recommend to use "Steel Vikings Interior Mod." Those two mods are designed to work together. 3) Can you please tell me why I should not use IRAI_0_0_30_No_Aircraft_Spotting_At_Depth? Before I starting using it I was spotted and attacked at 50-70 meters. Thanks as always. Jim

IRAI_0_0_30_ByTheDarkWraith IRAI_0_0_30_No_Aircraft_Spotting_At_Depth You are using an old outdated IRAI version compared to the current version 41. Many changes have been made including the problem you mentioned will have been addressed by later versions. Quote:

Peter,
It has been a while and you probably don't remember but I am running SH5 on an older machine and have been limited in the mods I can successfully run. Thus the older version of IRAI. You have assisted me in the past with my mod stack. I got the problem resolved and am now hunting in September 41. Thanks!

Not sure if you are running TWoS. I had a similar issue Akula about a month ago, just different time on the CTD. Vecko looked into it, and couldn't find a way to duplicate it. Like you, I tried everything to no avail. The thread where we discussed this is here.

Thank you Rwearjr. I was able to get past it by going back to an earlier save and returning to base and ending that patrol. The two weeks of time skipped while I was refitting got me on the other side of whatever glitch it was. Thanks for sharing your info tho!! Happy hunting!!
