Default Key board arrow customization

I would like to change the arrow key setting. In TWOS it is currently used for engine controls and rudder. I want to use it for turning my periscope around. Can someone point me in to a good direction?

Changing key settings is possible but a pain, you have to know all hexadecimal corrisponding values for a keystroke. There is a dedicated file in the Data folder where the keys are saved and where you can change them.
Hopefully someone else will come with the exact filename and its path...

The exact filename is called Commands.cfg.
Be sure to make a backup of it prior of trying any changes...

I was just thinking what it was called. Thanks.

What I really want to know is this:

When you enter the periscope view, you left click the mouse so that you can move the scope around.

What I want is to make a command that automatically “left clicks” the scope when I go to the periscope view so it is ready to move around when I enter the view.

I am currently planning a build for a periscope, and need to make some command changes.

I tried to accomplish something similar before by adding some "turret rotation" controllers to the periscope mast but I wasn't successful unfortunately.

Simple change in Comands.cfg file will not work either if I remember correctly...

I believe this can be done easily with a program called SH_keymapper... You can find it here: http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/down...o=file&id=4715

I used it to change my SH5 keybinds and it worked like a charm.
