Default need help

wanted to update to twos2,hell i could not even get twos version one to install properly. So any way it said to do a clean install so I deleted silent hunter 5 and then thats when the trouble began it will not let me reinstall silent hunter 5 it says that silent hunter version 1.02.00 is already installed and that this setup installs an earlier version of silent hunter5 (1.0.0)
you will have to uninstall the previous version before installing this version.
UGH! I have uninstalled this game everywhere and i mean EVERYWHERE!
registry you name it it if had sh5 on it it got deleted sooo...where the hell is it?

use cc cleaner on the registry, then do a reboot, you have missed a reg key somewhere

the only other thing I can suggest is manually checking all the folders have been deleted, from where you installed it, my docs, and users/appdata/local folder, delete anything from ubisoft. then do another reg search for ubisoft, and delete anything that turns up, reboot and see what happens.

That means probably manually editing the registry keys with regedit.

Only do that if you know what you are doing !

you don`t need a degree to type ubisoft in the search box and then press f3,
and if it does not find anything, you are not editing anything, and if it does you are deleting a key that belongs to a piece of uninstalled software.

Search the registry for "Silent Hunter 5" Then go in a folder with "Update" in the name. That's where the install path info is written. You can delete the entire 'Silent Hunter 5' folder after uninstalling the game and prior of re-installing.

But like above, the WARNING: Be sure to do it correctly. Maybe make a restore point in Windows before.
When you re-install the game, install it outside of the Program (x86) folder and in a unprotected location. You must have or patch the game to version 1.2.0 before installing the TWoS mod.
