Wow, things can really snowball. I been away for a few weeks with my studies and things have changed alot.

I never intended to make anybody believe that someone had used ‘my’ models, all I said in a conversation was they look very similar to the ones I had completed. I never sent anyone a private email or felt the need to publicly pronounce that they were ‘my’ models because I’m not worried if someone is using my models that I publish on 3DWarehouse. That is why I publish them to the 3DWarehouse.

I do not build my models or 2D drawings to gains credits. I built them as I love the research aspect and I only use the illustrations as a way to visualise my research.

It would be nearly impossible not to be influenced by other modellers or U-boat researchers, as there is only a limited amount of information available. It is impossible not to have models or drawings that look similar. I have no proof that anyone uploaded my models and used them, and I do not want to provide evidence because like I mentioned before. I am not worried if anyone used them, that why I publish them in the begin. Furthermore, as many people know, it is nearly impossible to prove proof where the original models are from, as dates can be altered and polygons can be manipulated. I can only provide the dates that I uploaded my original models to the 3DWarehouse (the FuMO-61 in July 2015 and the FuMB-26 in January 2015).

Perhaps the only thing I worry about and believe that needs to happen is the documentation of the original research material being reference. This allows other researchers to peer review and evaluate the work. I try hard to list all my resources I used for my illustrations. I try to add this information with them and if I cannot I keep a database at home.

Some of you ask who I am and my background…

I do not make my models or drawings for games and I don’t care about the polygon count at all. In all my drawings and models I add extremely rare detail that very few people know about or care about. I am extremely lucky to have a large collection of original German plans/ schematices and U-boat friends around the world that help me with my research. All of my models and drawings are based on original German measurement and wartime photographs. For my models and drawings, I add a very high level of detail (e.g. like threads on screws, the internal structures of the equipment and welding beads etc..). An example of this detail can be seen in my research in the piping Schematices of the engine room, this has taken myself and Tore Berg-Nielsen Ex chief engineer KNM Kaura (U-995) and KNM Kya (U-926) over five years of research to complete (see below).

A small portion of this research is also seen on my latest drawing which I only released several weeks ago over at Uboat.NET (http://uboat.net/forums/read.php?14,86504,91471#msg-91471). The first version of this drawing was released on November 2011, and since this time it has been downloaded nearly 1500 times. I have assisted Tomi_099 with his model of the VIIc engine-room (http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=153853) (Sorry all the old pictures are lost as they were part of Defunct photo-sharing websites).

I started my Schematices drawing back in February 2008 and my 3D modelling in November 2014. I have published a number of small articles that can be found at AMP.biz (http://amp.rokket.biz/lib_uboats.shtml) and u-historia.com (http://www.u-historia.com/uhistoria/.../intecnico.htm). My illustrations can also be seen a number article at ubootwaffe.pl (http://www.ubootwaffe.pl/en/u-boats/...german-u-boats) and (http://www.tvre.org) coming very soon.

My foremost research area is the Type VIIC/41 and also the late war Type VIIC. This is reflected in my models and drawings. I am currently not doing as much research as previous years as have just completed a Master’s degree and will shortly beginning a Ph.D.

I hope is full some of the voids in this conversation.

Default Have a beer (or three)

@ NZsnowman,

Hi, thank you for your clarification of the situation regarding your excellent models, and also the links to some great research material.

It is a shame that you, Wise and Sphere couldn't get together and produce the ultimate of all sub sims

What are you studying - naval architecture?

@ Wise

Perhaps best to have a beer, lick the wounds and move on, me thinks.

@v-I-c-

....................well, I just don't know what to say,

Regards,

MLF

Thanks, guys!
There are no plans. We will move by inertia. Release, maybe, closer to summer. The future will show.

Hmm..Maybe. Thanks for the remark. Though, I watched the movie Grey Wolves. The movie is based on the documentary chronicle. Possibly, you know this movie. In part 2 boats with Turm 2 are shown. Time 00:41:49, is visible illegibly, but it seems that the fodder support of the antenna located where I have made. But I can't approve it surely. I will double-check and if it is required, I will remake. I think, it is not for long.

@kurfürst Arnd, my friend, hi! Long ago you weren't. I am glad you to see.
Thanks for kind words, guys! It, is valid, healthy when it is obvious that people like what is done by the person. And it helps to move further.
Thanks!

Horrido Alex,

I was running in silent mode for quite some time as work and family took/ take quite some time from me, but I guess I am back on the deck!

Keep on your good work and don´t let others spit in your soup!
