Default Sextant Altitude

Can anyone please tell me how to increase the altitude on the Sextant

I can line up with the horizon after enabling the sextant but when I try to take a reading I cant seem to get more than about 3 degrees in altitude … the altitude line moves but as I say wont go higher than about 3 degrees or so ...

is it me ?

using WOS mod

You should be able to move the sextant all the way up (90 degrees or so).

Not that I am aware of...
Try to report the problem in TWoS issues thread with more details. Maybe something will "surface" then. The link is my signature...
Cheers!

No problems here. Sextant settings work via stadimeter. So it might be a settings problem.

Just a pity we only have mi utes and no seconds in real nav.
