Default Clemson Multiplayer Mission

I just wrote this mission to see if we could use the surface ships in Multiplayer. Well, I can, but I was alone. It is written with 4 Clemsons (of course when you get into the game you don't have to choose the Clemson, I guess you can choose anything). So get three of your friends and shoot up a convoy. Just enable the Clemson before you start the game and check it out. Simple mission, just to see if there is any interest in it.

Clemson vs Convoy 4x

I put the 4x in the name so you would remember how many players can play. If there is any interest I can add more convoys and more Clemsons.
Enjoy.

Hi Peabody

my online squad have expressed a keen interest in this esp for our upcoming annual conference (7 days of pure gaming and beer ). I'll let them know that there is definitely an option to play surface ships in multiplayer. this is going to be a hoot! if you do make any more such missions, pls post here and I'll d/l them - put a few combatants in the missions - much more interesting when the 'prey' can actually shoot back! harrrrrghhh

Hey Pharoah,
This 'prey' sunk me the first time I played it. There are three escorts and some of the merchants are armed. (I got too close) If you get a chance, try it online before the conference. I only tested this by myself and one ship. If you need it I can add more ships. This mission only has four available, I think it will go up to 8 if I remember right, but then I would need to add more ships to sink. And more escorts!!!!!! I wish I could add the battleship and Fubuki but they are built on German subs and won't work. The only other ones (but I haven't tried them) are the oiler and Atlantis (but the atlantis is german too) and I think that is all.

Edit: Here's a thought, I don't know how many people you will have but I can put in 8 Clemsons and you can fight each other. You can shoot your own ships, you just have to select it as the one to aim at. It won't automatically shoot at another on the same side, but I did it by mistake in a single mission. one of my escort was between the BB and my target and I accidentally selected him and he blew up, so I guess it would work in Muti. Could try it. You could do 4 on each side or every man for himself.

Edit: I just added a US trawler to the mission and I could target and shoot it. So like I said it won't automatically start shooting at a US ship, you can tell it to by selecting it.

sweet mate.

I'll see if I can rustle up atleast 1 or 2 guys one of these nights to give it a go. My squad is mainly IL2, FSX or Armed Assault focused but we do dabble in a lot of other games such as this (we even had an SHIII sub-squad for a while but that died), esp if there is interest.

I'll post in our forums and see what I get. in the meantime, thanks again for your work - very appreciated.
