Since I am running it on Linux w/WINE.

Problem with homing torpedoes. During the war there were a hatful of hits by Cuties. German homing torpedoes, arguably a better design, came up with a big goose egg for the war.

Problem with the Cuties is their 10 knot speed. If your DD is traveling at the customary 20 knots you can forget about tagging them with a "Tickle Pickle" as my wife's grandfather used to call them. Also the Cutie is designed to hit the DD in the screws, taking out their power. They have smaller explosive charges than other torpedoes. Finally, thay take renown to purchase. You can load up my Cheap and Early Torpedoes to eliminate the need for renown.

Also look up my Cutie on a Leash strategy of using the sub's motors to call a Cutie back to the target area above my sub while the DD is listening for sub noises.....BOOM!

Cuties are a lot of fun if you don't have to pay renown for them. They are a pretty low probability shot, partly because you can't launch torpedoes below 100' when the real subs were prohibited from launching them above 200'!

Be aware that you'll be successful about a third of the time, and that only if the DD doesn't go into high speed runs. Then the DD distracts the torpedo away from the listening DD but can't possibly be hit by the Cutie. That's what's known as a lose-lose proposition.
