radar Type IX in GWX (question)

Ahoi,

Watching the German IX-type u-boats in the museum, two questions came into my mind.

1. Why is the IXB shown twice? The first one is under the sea, the second on
the surface and apart from the second flak looking a bit different there is no
difference or am I missing something?

2. Gameplay-wise, what are the differences between the IXB, IXC and IXD2?
Like which one is the most suitable for certain patrol areas (US East Coast,
Caribbean, South Atlantic, Pacific Ocean), surface raid or attack under the
sea, which bases, etc....

Thanks for any answers in advance.

Hi, RandomBoi.

It can be assumed that the IXB on the surface is the so-called "AI submarine"... it can also be assumed that it is shown in the museum as a result of errors in the spelling (decoration) of the properties of this AI submarine.

Good luck.
