Default My little Independence Day jaunt...

To properly celebrate Independence Day, I decided to take a B-17 back to its makers for a service, after all, it was only 64 years overdue...

En route to Boeing Field, Seattle at 30,000 feet, good job the heater still works...

Passing over Boeing Field...

Turning over Mount St Helens to head back for a very long final descent into Boeing Field...

Landing lights on a bit early, but what the hell...

Mmmmm... Nice sunset...

Messing about with the engines on the descent...

Boeing Field just coming in sight, between the two other airports...

Lined up nicely, none of that ILS bollox on this thing, right on the money at 110mph

Looking good...

Touchdown, 64 years after it last did it at the same airstrip...

He took the long way around the mountain.:rotfl:

I would just have gone with "We do not appease evil. We crush it!"

CF3 Battle of Britain 1940 and we are in a very, very bad situation here. Germany has invaded England, London is lost and the front line is in the Midlands. Looks like my wingmen and I may be heading toward the Irish and sit it out.

Hello Choke,

Love those B-17 Mighty 8th pics. Brings back some very good memories indeed

for the past 2 days, I figured out how to get Over Flanders Field working and it looks great. Though for some reason I seem to be missing some Non-Critical skins, even after downloading and installing that huge Skin patch.
