Movie: in enemy hands

This movie is on Dutch TV tonight.
I find mixed reviews and opinions on this movie. Scores 6/10 on imdb.

Does anyone know the movie and is it worth watching? I'd rather trust SH3 players' opinions than imdb users

not bad to see on a trailer, never seen On with channel do they play him ? (wij belgen hebben enkel ned 1,2,3)

It has William H Macy in it... hmm...

Though I recognised a lot of footage lifted straight out of U-571

I guess you are right:

"It's obvious that the budget wasn't very big since they had to use stock footage from movies like "U-571" and even "Down Periscope". They also used stock footage from real WW II Destroyers and other boats which was pretty obvious at times, it was kind of amateuristic and unrealistic the way it was edited into the movie."

Yes it is worth watching imo. An entertaining movie. No big actors in this movie, which is good imo. Acting is pretty good, and expect realism and stroy something like U-572.

Well, saw the movie last night...I can't say I'm impressed and the score of 6/10 on imdb is still a little on the high side imho. more a 5 or 4.

This is clearly a B movie with poor directing and acting. Why Macy would play a role in this movie is beyond me, he must have been in need of cash. The American captain is the worst captain I've seen for years in a movie.
The story seems to be a mix between The Hunt for Red Octobre, Outbreak and U-571 but not very convincing.

Still, enjoyed watching it, if only to be reminded what a great movie Das Boot is.
