OK, so I am using SH III 1.4b+GW1.1a. A strange glitch has happened. I was playing a single mission. Completed it, and quit the game. The next time I load the game it looks like this:

So I wonder, what the h*ll has happened? And as a side note, can it have anything to do with a file called "scene.dat" in my main \data folder? I didn't change anything in it, but I did look for something in it. I use an ATI Radeon X700SE video card, with the latest drivers.
