The prices and new license models have been published.

The normal dongle license update will cost 40 $US.

New license models that do not need a dongle are being introduced. These are time-limited and bound to the hardware (they cannot be transporeted to another system).

Details here: http://www.steelbeasts.com/sbforums/...ad.php?t=19375

Gorshkov, my current computer can run the game on mostly high marks judging by the performance post you put up. I'm not worried.

Sky, been following this, getting really excited, especially at the 40$ license

Really? This patch (sometimes called "an upgrade") costs about a half of price of original game.

First SBP-3.0 video, still nothing spectacular, illustrating just the new weather control options, and the transition of light conditions at different time sof the day, and weather.

Like other weather-related details in 3.0 mentioned before, this for the most currently is cosmetic only, a first implementation of a new feature. Will be adressed in more detail in the future.

WoW, awesome 'bout the cost of 1/2 a tank of gas! geez I dunno if I kin afford that....Perhaps esim will consider producing content for free, Lord knows I would love to work for free!
Letz see the software has been on my PC for 8 years now, so including updates its cost me about $1.57 a month. Really quite a monetary setback. good thing I don't go to starbucks for coffee every morning b4 work, you then might think my last name is Trump.

A patch repairs existing stuff (bugs). An upgrade adds new stuff or significantly improves/replaces existing stuff (the new graphics engine for example). SBP 3.0 adds roughly 50 new platforms to the already existing 100.

However:

The changes in the particle system they planned to implement, caused much greater efforts than they expected, due to the age of the code SBP still bases on, and they cannot complete the task within the scheduled timeframe. They said three days ago that therefore they will prepare it for a later release, polishing up a bit the existing, old system and use that in the now coming upgrade. Word is they plan to release within the next month, at least they said they do not want to work another month over it.

To shorten the wait, you can kill time by staring at this image. It is the Bradley in SBP 3.0.

They are sneaking in on the objective. Release Notes with 65 pages have been posted:

http://www.esimgames.com/wp-content/...ease_Notes.pdf

Download for SBP 3.0 (not the release notes ) will be 2.2 GB that is more than twice as much as before, it were 980 MB with the last version.

Release date mentioned is September 2013.

We are getting close to shooting range!
