My name's Rick and I'm an American. I've been in Central Asia for about 10 years now doing communications and other things. I've played lots of SH3 using mods and ships from many of the good people here and recently returned to the forum today after a long absence. I'm happy to see it's still alive and well and I'm looking forward to renewing friendships and making new ones. - Rick

Hey there everyone!

I actually stumbled upon the series when my friend asked me if I knew anything that could get it work on his computer. Little did I know how deep the rabbit hole went! A few hours of YouTube videos later, I had purchased the Silent Hunter pack from Steam!

Anyways, pleasure to be here. Hope to learn a lot

Hi all,

After finding my SH4 Collectors Edition the otehr day, I thought I never really played that much, I'll give it a go. Unfortunately everything was in there apart from the DVD.

So having gotten the sub bug again, I decided to buy SH5 and I'm currently downloading mods (thanks to Sober for providing a list to guide us newbies

)

I live in Blaxland,Australia, and my interests are making models and video games.my favorite types of video game are shooters,strategy and simulator.in my opinion,the best games of each category are
Halo Reach
Halo Wars
Submarine simulators:Silent hunter 5 (with mods)
Aircraft simulators: birds of steel

birds of steel is the overall winner

I would like to join the Royal Australian Navy and be a maritime warfare officer on a Collins class submarine

I'm Gigih from Indonesia. I'm 30 YO, and i just love simulators.. from airplanes, to trains, from trucks to submarines... i'm currently playing Navy Field (uhm since 2000-ish), Silent Hunter 4 because of jefmajor (youtube) and silent hunter 5, because.. i like to be "up-to date" with the latest generation of a particular game..

I love the way how all you guys, can come up with MODS that are.. OMG AYFKM awesome..!! and the comradery hear is fantastic!

Anyways BIG THANKS and GOD SPEED to all Admin's, moderators, MOD creators, and of course.. my new friends..

HI My name is Mark I am 41 years old and played silent hunter way back when I had a commanor 64 loved all the later games of it was kind of dissapointed with with 5 but you people that do these mods are a god send

and make the game fun and way better then the stock game.
All I can say keep up the work and I wish I could do the things you guys do!!!!

Guten Tag mein name ist Josh.
I live in Adelaide Australia and im 14 years old (probably the youngest member on here). I am currently part of the AAFC and im in year nine. My first sub sim was probably Sub Battle sim on my dads old mac. I like all sim genres and i am one the only 5 sim players at my school. When im older i hope to get a maritime surveillance in the P-3 Orion with the RAAF.
My first silent hunter game was no.4 which i picked up for $2.
