Mine isn't.

I hate working Saturdays. Haven't done one for a few weeks but that just makes it worse.

Drinking beer to console myself.

Same here, working a 12 hour shift on saturday. Just spend some hours at my place with friends over some beers an bbq hoping it would relieve some work related stress but somehow it only made it worse. Yes, I know, I sound like some overly sensitive twat and have annoyed you all with my constant complaints about my job and sschedule but all that aside, even thouigh things have gottne better i constantly feel like I am about to snap and see no way out, hell, even suicide does not seem like an option. All there seems to be is to drudge on and hope things get better and I ma just tired. very very tired.

I seriously need to find some help to deal with this ****.

Hang in there mate. You are not over sensitive and this is a good thread to express your feelings. If you wake up in the morning you are off to a good start. If you don't you will not have to worry about it. If you look hard enough there is something in every day to perk you up and keep you going.

Well, this sucks. The one actual human being I work with has called in sick so I'm left to marshal the idiot forces of Queen Gonk, Dribble-girl, Hee-haw the Human Drain and Corporal Caveman into some vague semblance of usefulness. I'm far too tired for this rubbish. My chest infection won't go away, I keep coughing up things that look more evolved than today's colleagues and all I want to do is have a bacon roll, a cup of coffee and read the sport pages but I can't because I have to make sure this murder of hooting non-entities don't do anything too stupid.

I hate this job.

Mate. My job, whilst not being quite as awful as your, is pretty bad and I know a lot of what you are describing there. I think of myself as being a smart guy but constantly wonder whyit is I just can't seem to make the leap from this horrible situation (and getting worse,) into doing something useful and enjoyable. What this means is I end up blaming myself about it all the time and feeling terrible. Well, I'm not going to do it anymore. I'm going to follow my mum's advice and write a best seller (seriously, that was her advice: 'Why don't you write a best seller?'

Brilliant.

Doing a bit of housework because mrs buna shattered her left elbow in an accident whilst we were in York earlier in the week and is currently in hospital having underwent emergency surgery on Thursday.

The share prices in the local takeways have soared in price over recent days.

That's because they knew you'd be coming.

Aye, same, was it slippery pavements?

When we were in York we encountered this impressive work of health and safety:

Jim's not here right now, so I hope he doesn't mind me giving a partial answer for him. No, it wasn't pavement. She fell down the flight of stairs on a double-decker bus.

Ouch. Very easily done, those stairs are bloody narrow, bloody steep and some drivers don't wait until you've finished climbing them before they pull away, so if you're not holding on tight to the bannister then you are in trouble, and that's just going up the darn things...going down, well, I always hope that the driver doesn't pull away from the stop.

From what he told me that's exactly what happened. She was on her way up when the bus started moving. We don't have double-deckers here, but I have to be very careful at my age. More than once I've lost my balance and just sat down on the floor. A couple of years ago I was running for a train and slipped in the snow. In the old days I would have caught myself, but that time I just landed gracefully on my face. Lots of blood everywhere.

Seems like Mrs buna should be in for a nice claim of the bus company, and lets all wish her a very speedy recovery

Yeah, that's rotten. What a way to spoil your trip. Give her our love and I hope she gets better soon.
