Il-2 Mods?

Hi all,
I was just wondering, are mods for Il-2 1946 compatible with the Collection Edition (FB+AEP+PF)? I am wondering this because there are some planes I know flew with the RAAF, including the Lancaster, but I can only find 1946 mods for them. I will eventually swap my current version for 1946, but right now I just don't have the time.

Don't think so, over at M4T they've got definate '46/other split for mods. The mods are much better for '46 too, and iirc there is a Lanc in one of the supermods such as HSFX, UP3 or DBW.

Somebody with more knowledge than I will probably be along soon.

IIRC HSFX, at least, only has the Halifax. Don't think I've seen a Lancaster mod yet, but that's probably just due to the fact that I wasn't looking for one.

But yeah, I'd bet the 1946 mods won't be compatible. It's probably better to get 1946 anyway.

There is a Lanc mod at SAS1946's site, but I can only see for up to 4.10.

The Lanc is/was a franken plane IIRC. There was a proper one in the works many moons ago, but with CloD I think a lot of mod work for IL2 paused and hasn't quite got going again.

There is a Franken Lancaster in Ultra Pack, it has the usual bomb load out and has the Tall Boy bomb.

Thanks everyone for the feedback, I will trade my Il-2 for 1946 when I have to opportunity, and would it be possible to do my own mods for my version? I have looked in the directories, and there doesn't seem to be an easy way in
