Myeah or the weekend or something.
You know those rotary things on the throttle? Aren't mapped to anything, hell, not even supposed to be presented as axis by the software, but somehow those things move the stick. Simply centering those doesn't work, rather wonky. Took me a bit to figure out why it was moving all over the place.

Be there as soon as I can, will be a while yet.
Space reserved for screenshots. Hmm, dodgey wiring! A bow wave? From a helo? I hope the others get those responsible for this. Ah, they did. Thanks guys. You saved the enemy a lot of pain if I'd have got there in time on foot.

The canopy jettison lever works thanks to the latest patch Retarded. My turn now as Arc goes back for more explosive stuff.

I'll say.
Can't hit a bloody thing with those. Think I'll just set them up as slicks from now on.

My initial configuration was with GBU-31/38 JDAMs but just got hung stores so jettisoned and used cannon. That and cluster bombs FTW
And Mavericks when I can be bothered.

Aye you get hung store if you make a mistake in delivery. Not that hard to clear though, provided you're reasonably familiar with the systems. (ie. orbit on autopilot and alt-tab to the manual. )

I have guides printed out for delivering most of the weapons, ILS, TACAN, etc., but not for clearing hung stores.
In case you're wondering why I'm still crap if I've got the guides to hand - I'm impatient and lazy and think I can just pick and choose the bits to read... ends up with hungs stores, apparantly. Autopilot - haven't even seen which panel it's located on yet. So that's how you fly straight and level so often.

Indeed.
It's also how I manage my targeting: fly to a point some 10 miles from the target area, bank and engage altitude-hold. Plane keeps a level bank while you tinker with the TGP, finding and presumably marking targets. There's a control, "HOTAS left throttle button" to engage/disengage the AP. Additionally: Switch: PATH: holds whatever attitude you set. Handy during climbs and descents. ALT/HDG: Holds altitude and heading. Straight and level. ALT: Holds altitude and bank. Bank the aircraft and engage to enter hands-off orbit, leaving you free to tinker with whatever needs tinkering with. The button is a duplicate of the throttle button (other way around, technically). Changing the switch setting with the AP engaged does not take effect untill you disengage and then re-engage the AP. Say you're orbiting after engaging 'alt' and you set it to 'alt/hdg'; plane will continue to orbit. Push the button once to turn it off and again to turn it back on and it should transition to straight and level. Actually, don't think 'alt/hdg' engages unless the nose is within ~5deg of level, not sure if bank affects it like that as well. *right, hung store: Quote:
