PT-Boats Russian Demo is up!!!

Sim-HQ/Subsim user Vitesse reports that the 1.2GB Russian demo of the long awaited PT-Boats is now available for download. Instructions on how to get it working are also on the Sim HQ forums

Here is the direct link to the download page at Akella.ru (note this demo is in Russian so we will have to muddle through Cyrillic menus etc.)

The upcoming patch for the game (addressing many of the issues in the initial Russian release) and the new Western release are apparently imminent.

Yes, that's possible, I've installed the demo and if it's there it's certainally less visible than it was before (no SF standard authentication box). I can't tell either way, as I already had SF on my PC from SHIII, Virtual skipper 4 & Enigma RT. Maybe someone else could confirm it's presence. I am pretty sure it will be on the full DVD release as the devs hae stated that they were waiting for the latest SF version before releasing the patched new version of the game. Hopefully SF has evolved a bit since the SH3 debacle.

If I remember correctly this is more dealing with the Torpedo Boats in the ETO, than the PT Boats in the PTO. Right?

Yes, although from what I've seen/heard there are very few geographic references in the game, it's handled in quite a generic way.

Just checked amazon (the german site of it) and they haven't even listed it.

This Australian site lists the release as 4th of June, so hopefully the EU/US shouldn't be too far away. They may also sell the English version directly online as they have done with the Russian demo above which is actually an unlockable full product, if you purchase the serial number directly.

I contacted Amazon Germany and they said that they don't know if or when they will have it.

Does anybody know where else to get it if you don't have a credit card?
