Blip Sound in SH3 Forums

Is there a way to turn OFF the "Blip" sound for every time you ckick on, or close a subject or Thread?

I know what you're talking about. Just turn down your computer volume when you're on the site.

On my system, my computer audio goes into a nice Kenwood amp and into some sweet Polk desktop speakers. When I'm surfing the 'net, I can either have the audio on or off, and when I play SHIII, I crank up the stereo as loud as I can (as loud as the wife will allow, actually). :rotfl:

On your computer desktop look in the lower right hand corner; you should have a volume adjustment .

That is annoying, but easy to disable. Go to the main SH3 site. To the right of the binoculars a little is a little speaker icon (directly above the red Surface/Dive switch). Click it and the annoying sound will be gone.

I was beginning to think maybe I had been at sea to long as FesterShinetop suggested :rotfl:

Ahh yes those sounds, i once was in the SH3 site, for the first time, at the same time i was was chatting away in MSN, next thing i was hearing these sounds, depth charges, talking, blip noises etc.,, i thought it was the guy i was chatting to on msn playing around with me with the sounds i was asking him what was he doing can he turn those sounds off cos its annoying, he was saying "WHAT SOUNDS" Dont what sounds to me bud! You know what im talking about! He was damned that he wasn't playing any sounds. Yeah right mate! Can ya please turn off your sounds!!! This went on for about an hr, in the end i stopped talking to him, yet the sounds were still play !?!? i then notice on my taskbar the SH3 site was still active as soon as i close it the sounds turned off
