Urgent clarification on SH4 1.4 patch

G'day gentlemen. I was told that an SH4 patched to 1.4 would still say 1.3 in the menu screen
on the bottom right corner? I was told this is due to a typo error. Is this true?

No, it should read "1.4"

Diopos, do you know how to get 1.4 for steam? In steam it's stuck at 1.3.

There are people in the steam forums who say to change the download region to Canada.
I've tried all 3 parts of Canada which are available but it still won't auto update to 1.4

Mine is from Steam, and it's patched to 1.4. I just downloaded it yesterday, if that matters. And I'm in Canada.

The current, up to date version of the game is 1.5. Why not just purchase the "Gold" version on disc? That's all you need. No worries about Steam or D/L activation problems. What's more, most of the major mods are all geared towards 1.5. Just a thought.

Agreed - the U-boat missions add-on patches the game to version 1.5. Even if you don't care for U-boats, it's still good to have for the reasons Fish mentioned.

I bought it off of Steam because I can't find a physical copy of it anywhere, and I don't have a credit card so I can't purchase it online. I do have PayPal, but I'm the sort who wants instant gratification, so buying it on Steam was a no-brainer for me. I'd prefer a physical copy, and I may end up ordering one off of Ebay or something, but for now I'm stuck with the Steam version. I did end up buying the U-Boat missions as well, so now my game is 1.5.
