SHIII-How do you chat on line?

Hi, Guys! I have been playing Silent Hunter for some time. I found SH2 in a music store years ago and was hooked! I am now an SHIII addict, even ordered the special edition SH4. Feeling confident enough, I thought I would play online and joined in a few missions but felt as if I was an intruder. If I could only figure out how to chat on-line with the other 'Captains', I may be able to introduce myself.
Can anyone explain to me how to "chat" while playing SHIII online?

Here is a thread which should help you get set up on Teamspeak. This is where a few of us MP players hangout and play online and just shoot the breeze.

Hi mate, and welcome to Subsim!

In MP games, you can use the "NumLock" key to write messages to the other captains. Some also uses teamspeak, something you can read more about in the Multiplayer forums!

Hi there saw you made it on to TS ok.
It is a bit slow on there at the moment as most of us are busy testing the lastest patch for GWX. But once that is out it should pick up quite a bit on the MP front.

teamspeak is what i use, I have a server but I have no one to go on with

if anybody knows of any good online spots let me know! or wahts to go on.
