Lurker and I both deleted these things from our campaigns for that reason. They can be harbor traffic (what a waste of 3d modeling work). So

Yea I realize that but they were in the game, so could be used as coastal types i'm thinking. I think they had hydrophones in the game, they seemed to keep track of sub pretty well when submerged.Figured add a few DC's and active sonar on them, have a pesky little adversary.

Mainly I think itd be nice bc I plan on making a "coastal traffic" file to add in the freighters making local coastal runs with small escorts from around November 43 on.This became common in home waters and some other places from late 43 on.A large tanker needs to make a run from Tokyo to Kii Suido, would not do it alone but usually didnt want to assign a main line escort to this duty, so they employed small ships like the CHA-1 and patrol type boats armed with sonar and depth charges.Since already had the gunboats figured theyd be a good stand in.USS Tang's patrol in summer 1944 was filled with 1 or 2 ships making coastal runs with 2-4 small escorts, sometimes planes.

Also, theyd be good for shallow patrols in the bays, add some variety.
