Yes and occasionally cruises up the Bay and Sacramento River and of course famously made it back to D-day's anniversary.

Actually turned into a three-punch as word of The USS Iowa being towed out from her berth at the Suisun Ghost fleet to Southern California to become a museum suddenly arrived. My buddy and I dashed across San Francisco to the top of Fort Point to catch this view! (photo not mine-just enough room in the viewfinder??!! What a day!  4 Ur Cruzin' pleasure: http://www.ssjeremiahobrien.org/events.php I have considered that a two-ship tour and a cruise on the Liberty might make an ideal  meet!
