Thank you Aktungbby and fitzcarraldo for the warm welcome and yes I installed the 4GB patch before installing the mods. I will try a third time but the single player missions work fine but the career is the one that locks up at 90%.
UPDATE: fitzcarraldo, I again applied the patch this time over top of the mod 5.1 already installed and it looks like that worked. Thank you for a quick response and your help.
