Specialized as MK 114 Underwater Fire Control Systems tech working on ASROC and MK 32 torpedo tubes. Oversaw one of the first Harpoon system installs aboard the Elmo Magoo. Got a question for Sailor Steve. I knew a friend who served aboard the Brinkley Bass, although his name escapes me. He said that whenever the Boatswain's Mates would get PO'd at the First Lieutenant aboard her, they would paint over the B's on the ships hull, rendering USS Brinkley Bass to USS Rinkley Ass. Can you confirm if this story is true?
