Strike force of more than 60 Russians land on the
Bengtskär lighthouse island just after midnight.
The 38 defending Finns retreat inside the lighthouse and begin to direct artillery fire from the nearby
Örö fort on the attacking enemy.
Finnish reinforcements arrive during the morning and by 1845hrs the island is clear of enemies.
Finns lost 21 men, while the enemy's casualties were 36 KIA + 28 POW.
