Microsoft has two tiers of support on old product: mainstream and extended. Win 7 exited mainstream a while back in January 2015, which means after that point, MS no longer provides any routine upgrades or tweaks to Win 7, just security patches until Win 7 exits extended support in 2020:

So any driver tweaks, update patches, or anything other than security patches ended a bout a year and a half ago. As mentioned before, newer device and driver software may not be compatible with the existing Win 7 setups...
