Default IXc June '41

June '41, a few hundred kilometers NW of Dakar with a IXc and in the mid-day picked up a contact in the distance, a large freighter and a destroyer which turned into a small convoy moving North. 4 merchants led by a destroyer.

Tracking for over an hour with a small overhaul East of the contacts.

Submerged attack and around 2pm sank a large freighter with 2x G7e. Withdrew and avoided the destroyer.

Reloaded torpedoes, surfaced and went on a course of 350 degrees. Caught up with the convoy hours later and started another overhaul.

The overhaul continued to past midnight. Some hours in I paced one of the ships for a 8.5 knot target speed.

It was a clear night with the moon so I got ahead and did a submerged attack with the nightscope. Stopwatch against a ship ahead of my target and was showing 8.5 knot target speed.
1xG7e and 1xG7a from the stern tubes to hit the remaining large freighter in the formation.

Success around 2am. Got away. Reloaded torpedoes; surfaced and put some torpedoes from deck storage down below.

Later in the morning, headed back South to continue to look for other ships.
