What do you all do with nighttime attacks using Peri?

I'm finding it impossible to identify or attack anything at night now!
Yeah it's tough for sure. But come up with your own way to attack. And use All of the tools and bags of tricks to get to the same info. If in an advantageous position with little or no information on the target then plan on using ship length to estimate speed with the stopwatch. Try and cross it's bow (if really in a great position) to lock down it's course. That is my "technique". All other times I either try and parallel my course to the contact to assess it's speed and course (aka get to 90 L/R AOB at 90 of relative bearing and match the speed far enough away to not be spotted...but close enough to assess AOB).

I used to be hardcore about getting ranges and plotting to solve for target course and speed. But I was kind of cheating using the watch Officer for super accurate distance to nearest contact function...which has been basically rendered useless in TWOS...which is a good thing). Trying to range ships accurately beyond 5000 meters is almost a fools errand in anything but calm seas. At that point it's just stupid easy to parallel course for the info. But again if I'm forward of the target (and can't parallel for whatever reason) then I have to some guesstimating to do with other methods to get a decent solution. Normally I don't fire Torpedoes over about 2000 meters to target if I can't get good info....to minimize the small errors that usually occur.
