Yep, the Flotilla.cfg & Campaign_LND.mis are advanced text files, so Notepad/Wordpad will open them.
To make the task a little easier, there are comparison programs available which will highlight/list the differences between two files. An example of this is
Beyond Compare, there are also freeware versions around.
