US Navy sent her on the Baltic in 1945 through Belomor Canal to show Soviets powerful American submarine technology: air and surface radars, TDC, active sonars, Mk-16 hydrogen powered torpedoes and other fancy stuff to warn them against starting the Cold War on sea. Yet Soviets did not listen...
