My advice would be to disable a single mod. run SHIII, advance to greater than 8x time compression and see if it crashes.
If it DOES crash, you can re-enable that mod, and disable the next one on the list.
repeat the process until your time compression issue goes away and you have then discovered which mod was causing it.
also...are you using SHIII Commander to launch SHIII? if yes, have you tinkered with the time compression settings in anyway? if you have i would restore them all to default settings
lastly, My money is on the 16KM atmosphere or the Open Hatch mod being one of the culprits causing this crash, so i would try time acceleration with one of those mods disabled first. My SHIII runs fine with those mods enabled, however, there have been times when one or the other didnt get along with some of the other mods on the list and began causing issues.
