And right this he has revealed, I think, in a way that I can only applaude. He probably has forseen the reaction of the art crowd.
There is a German idiom:
Jemanden den Kakao zu trinken geben, durch den man ihn zuvor gezogen hat. It means to make fun of somebody (jemanden durch den Kakao ziehen/to pull somebody through the kakao), and afterwards making him think it was no joke at his cost, but a serious, gallant compliment (ihm den Kakao zu trinken geben/giving him the kakao to drink). He has pulled the whole business thorugh the kakao, and afterwards made them drinking it with serious face expression. Going... going... gone!
Better a demasking of the incapable fool cannot be staged.
