For some of us that's the only way to watch a foreign film. Some people say they hate to "read" a movie, but I'd rather do that than listen to bad dubbing.
I'm a fan of the German WW2 film
U-Boote Westwärts, and it doesn't have any dubbing or subtitles at all. I can still understand enough of it to tell what's going on.
