You also should be able to download the game from Ubisoft's store, for 9.99. That is what I did years ago, since I could not find a copy of the game at a decent price (and it is not steam, it is the full version of the game). I have not had any issues to speak of with this version of the game, not even the CTD stuff most people complain about. I also run many mods, and have no issues with them.
