Raptor that is true that doesn't have the supercharger but the type I was talking about was the MKIIb. Here is a quote from the aircraft guide.
"Supercharger speeds should be set to speed 2 in combat or in climb if boost is 2-5 psi below max; otherwise use speed 1. Best performance altitude is between 1,500 and 2,800 meters for speed 1 and 4,500 and 6,500 for speed 2." So we can use stage one of the supercharger at least.

As for the 88s, I found that shooting them in the middle of the wings ignites their fuel tanks way faster than blasting their engines would, try it
