Thu., 14.12.39 - In front of the North Channel

1120 - Qu. A M 4625 - Surfaced for venting the boat.

Additionally to the severe storm, there is now also freezing rain. Within minutes after surfacing, the boat is covered with a layer of ice. Visibility is very poor.

Incoming F.T.:
"U.-Liebe" is sending position report.
"U.-Lemp" has to break off the patrol and return to base.
