The 212 class is basically a reconnaissance and a 'brown water defense platform' with some blue waters capabilities...
It is not designed to be a deterrence platform like the Ohio class, which can literally be months/years on patrol... it is just a very special usecase what the Israelis do with it, which makes sense from their perspective...
