As you say first step in to update game to version 2.1.1 or so but game updater does not work, it only starts the game.
If someone has knowledge that the version in uPlay can not be updated please tell me. So I don't waist any more time.
Mayby I get dvd-version to get those mods working.
Game is interesting but have lot's of defects.

There are no reasons why UPlay version cannot be updated if Installed and setup correctly and it can get thru Firewall and the Go Offline is not checked in the UPlay settings Etc.
With the JSGME can you see your mods in the left hand column and have you enabled them so you can then see them in the right hand column ? Assuming you have put the JGSME in your SH Main folder there should not be any problems
As a matter of interest what Mods have you chosen ?
