what are your system specs mate?

there are a couple of things that make maps laggy.
for example the Map with Pearl Harbour has so many objects focused on a spot that it will create a performance hit on many PC's

objects that are focused on a small area create a performance hit.

I have 2.8ghz
512 Ram
Geforce FX5700 LE 256MB

I have no noticable hits in pacific maps, only in the map Pearl harbour when I fly over the harbour there its get kinda choppy but not bad.
I have my IL2 settings set up on the Graphic card (which is in the Config panel of IL2)
